It's Alive!

I racked a Brewmaker mild kit the other day which had been brewing for 14 days. I'm pretty sure it had stopped fermenting, but when I nearly to the trub what I can only describe as 'frogspawn' started to to appear and multiply. Is this maybe some still-active yeast or a dreaded infection? I did take some photos and a short video, but they were crap and don't really show the problem!

I get little bubbles/blobs of still active yeast erupting and popping away in the trub cake when racking the last few pints out of the bucket frequently, is this what you're referring to? If so I'd assume its simply active yeast, unless there are other signs of infection like a manky looking film or vinegar smell. :?

Thanks Dunc. I've never seen it before in either kits or extract brews. I'm pretty sure it must be yeast. I've no idea about a vinegar smell as I have a cold!
