Hi there I would like to hear from anybody who as done a "
BREWZER MICRO BREWERY KITI was given this by a friend who had no interest in brewing so Ithought I'd give it a go(nothing ventured nothing gained) did it as per the instructions and it's in the back room with my regular brews :- Wherrys,Edme's Stout and Coopers Bitter. While I don't really expect any thing like the Quality of those brews I would be interested in any views from my fellow Kit brewers.
Must say I was more than a little supprised to find it was made up wiith COLD water yeast and I Quote "THE MIRACLE MIX" shake leave for 2-3 weeks and sup . What doe you think????

Hi, I started homebrewing with one of those kits. I did a bitter first then an IPA and although they were both drinkable, it wasnt what I was looking for. The results were very thin, best described as beer flavoured. But they gave me the bug to move on.

I got back into homebrewing a few years ago after aquiring one of these. I found the results varied greatly from brew to brew. When it was good it was good but when it was bad it was bad.
I found the best results were had by using filtered tap water or bottled water. I think the problem is because you are brewing such a small amount of beer it is much more susceptible to infection and temperature fluctuations.
It doesn't last long once you start to dispense it either, as you pump air into to the container causing oxidisation of the beer.
Like ktg on the previous post it was good enough to get me interested in moving up the homebrew ladder and i am now brewing far better beer from full size kits.

Better hope you don't fall in love with it, because its' manufacturer has gone bust so there are no refills available (which contain the plastic disposable liners etc)
I havent been too impressed with the bitter in mine, but it did get me started on 'proper' kits!
