seeing as i've just got the hang of putting photos on the forum, thought i'd put a couple snaps on. As you can see this homebrewing lark is becoming a bit of an obsession!! :D

both very impressive! looks quite complicated with all that tubing and pipes. i take it that you're both into all grain brewing? can you give me an idea of what it all does?

i'm very envious of the bar !! trouble is if i had my brother and my mates round they wouldn't leave until all them bottles of spirits had been necked!

Gonna have to give it a go one day :)

At the moment i'm drinking some of the wines i made last summer, memorising some that i'll be doing again and some that i definately won't !!!
mint and tea and oak leaf spring to mind ! :? :x :x
and if you want a hangover from hell i reccommend drinking a bottle of kiwi fruit wine and then gin !!  :=P

how long have you both been into it? :D

I started in July last year with extract brews & got into AG ~ November. It's difficult because I only just finished drinking some of my extract brews recently and so kept running out of kegs to put it in

My AG is nothing special. It's basically the standard 3 tier system (HTL, Mash tun, Collection vessel) but with the addition of a little heat resistant pump so that the boiler doesn't have to be raised up to transfer hot water into the mash tun. The pump is attached to a Stainless Steel Plate Heat exchanger which is pretty tiny but very efficient :) The only difficult part is lifting 30L of liquor in the fermentor by hand up into the boiler although I like this method very much because the fermentor has the measurement graduations on the side.
