Post by Niall K » Sun Mar 11, 2007 9:53 pm

Hello All. First of all I would just like to say hello to everyone. Found this web site today and what a great find. I will be visiting here regulary.
Does anyone know were I can buy Corn Sugar on line in the UK. Its basically for priming my beer as I read that normal househld sugar can give cidery taste to the finished beer. Is Glucose Brewing sugar the same thing

Thanks
Niall

Hi Niall,
Any mail order supplier will be able to supply corn sugar.
As you say it is Glucose or brewing sugar :)
You could probably get it from your supermarket but your local pharmacy will definately stock it
I personally use granulated white household cane sugar for priming and have no problems

Same here.

The problems come when you start using large amounts of table sugar, like some of the kits which instruct you to use a kilo of the stuff.
