Mghty Mo

Remember years ago a kit called Mighty Mo. Think it was about 1LB in weight and needed 3LB of sugar. Never tried it for obvious reason but does anyone else remember it or even brewed it.

Never made it myself but I vaguely remember an old colleague a few years ago telling me that he, whilst working abroad, used to buy them while home on leave to take back to the Middle East (where they weren't overkeen on 'homebrewing' if you know what I mean). Easy to pack into a suitcase without attracting attention apparently

Now there's a blast from the past!

I remember them well from my early homebrewing days, they were poked fun at really, and they weren't a lot cheaper than a 3lb kit. I never actually made one myself, I suppose they would have been okay if you were really desperate for something alcoholic...

Blimey, I remember those. Someone at school gave me the little lager kit on the left of that picture. I made it up and bottled it in screwtop lemonade bottles. I put way too much priming sugar in them though and, when I finally managed to open one, it fizzed all over my bedroom floor until there was about an inch left in a 1.5l bottle

Can't tell you what it tasted like as it was a long time ago. Probably tasted shite judging by the amount of sugar needed.
