Wherry stuck

I made up my Woodford Wherry 7-8-11,vigourous fermentation.Having just checked the bucket, brew has stopped producing any visible bubble, but the sg is shown as 1.16 and won't drop. Should I keg it and hope the secondary fermentation reduces this reading or is there trick to getting further fermentation to lower the reading ?

wherry, and most two can kits if using the supplied yeast, tends to slow down a lot after the first few days - just leave it to it. 10 days in the bucket will generally suffice as Trunky says - don't worry too much about the final gravity, as it will drop a little further in the bottle during conditioning anyway.
Fermenting: nowt
Conditioning: Headcracker, Brewmaker Northumberland Brown, Brewmaker Export Bitter
Drinking: Coopers Euro Lager, Coopers Dark Ale, Hambleton Bard Amber Export, Coopers Aussie Pale Ale, Almondbury Old, Coopers Stout, Wherry w/Chinook
Planning: BOTW 80/-

Thanks chaps,I'll wait until the 10 days expire, from what you are saying would a change of yeast in future assist ? If so any recommendations.

trouble is that a 6 gram sachet of yeast isn't really enough for an all malt brew, so it struggles to finish. I tend to hoard the sachets and use two at a time for barrel brews, and use either Safale-04 or Nottingham for the bottle as the sediment sets better. Still, ten days is a good rule of thumb even with a different yeast just to allow it to finish off properly. :)
