Just had a gorgeous pint of my own wherry.
this lot has really been thought the wars.
It took nearly 3 weeks to get down to 1014. two weeks between 1020 and 1014!
Racked it into the keg and had a couple of sneaky pints after a week or two,
was very promising if still abit cloudy. Then i had to go away for the week. Great way of staying away from it while it matures? Hell no! Got back to find the missus had drunk nearly the lot without putting any co2 in. Was tasting pretty rough, to be honest i thought she'd prob glugged it. So the last gallon or so has been hid away in a cupboard (she'll never find it!) for a few weeks. Just remembered it and thought i'd give it a go. well, its the nicest pint i've had from any kit so far and comparable to woodfordes own.

Wherry is a nice drink and is a kit i will do again despite the problems that are well documented on these forums

Here, here, success stories are great to read!

Once i get mine down to 10-14, into the barrel and out into the shed I can be patient and start on the next one, but until then it's just ther enext to me all day and I can't forget about it.

Good news (about the Wherry), shame about the snaffling other half!

One tip I read on here was to go to Thailand for three weeks during clearing. Sadly the tickets don't come with the malt.

barreled my wherry this saturday. left it in primary for two weeks, completly forgot about it!! leaving it for at least month and a half. i hope

Put mine in barrel Saturday after 10 days fermenting.

Plan is 5 days indoors and 3 weeks in the shed, but I reckon you're right and I'll mess with it.

So I've bought myself a new kit and some other brewing toys to take my mind off it.
