Fruity Beer?

Post by stevezx7r » Tue Apr 17, 2007 4:26 pm

Hi again, just had a thought about mixing a kit with fruit.

How would I go about doing this? I was thinking of adding either cherries or blackberries to a medium ale kit. Any ideas on this? Is it possible and if so, how?

I am mainly after a subtle fruit flavour, not a wine.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, just about to keg my Linthwaite light. It seems to have stopped fermenting at 1016 from an SG of 1055 so it should be around the 5.2% mark. Tastes very nice although I didn't add the little bag of hops due to it being eight years old. The original yeast worked though!

Steve.

Reg's advice here may help with kits as well as extracts?
