....Cheers all
Pictured is half a pint of the first tester bottle of "Brupaks Almondsbury Old" and boy is it good! I'm not sure it would have tasted half as nice as it does without all the hints, tips and advice given so freely here at Jim's.
I feel like a proud father
Thanks again and good heath!

I got it from the Darlington Camra "Spring Thing" beer festival in March. Apparently it's their 25th anniversary this year.

That Almondbury Old is a nice drink(i found mine had a very malty taste) and i have another kit sat here waiting to start.
How long has it been in the bottle J_P?

Looks great JP, hope it tastes just as good!
I just had to move house with one of those sandpits you've got there... ...crikey what a pain.

OB - It's been in the bottle about three weeks after ten days in primary (I did say it was a tester bottle). The rest of it will most likely get supped in two weeks time when we are off to Scotland! It is quite malty as you say but it seems to have a spicy hop note in the background that I can't quite put my finger on.
Fivetide - It tastes far better than my phone camera can convey! It's really good, it's going to take me all my effort to keep my mitts off it (not to mention my good lady friend!). It is at present locked in my "Beer Cellar" (read old coal shed) on the side of the house hopefully we can keep off it until then. My dry hopped Great Eastern (Eastern Gold) testers will be ready in about two weeks time too can't wait to investigate them! Oh and if you think shifting one of those "sandpits" is a pain I filled four of them by hand with six tons of top soil in a morning - I earned my beer that day!

The Almondbury Old was the first brew I made just a few months back. I found it quite heavy but I didn't care as it was my baby! It lasted about two and a half weeks from my first "tester" before it was all gone.

I don't mind heavy as long as it has the hoppy punch behind it to sharpen it up in your mouth. Definitely a top kit that will be getting brewed again.

Nicely done.
You inspired me to knock off work early and have some homebrew on the patio.
Its 83 degrees F a bit much for spring if you ask me.

Great minds think alike and all that! Not sure what 83F is as I'm a metric kiddie, however that said I'm 6'3" and I brew beer in five gallon batches

!
Thanks for your kind words, may all your brews taste as fine as this one, you'll have to brew them yourselves mind as this one is all mine

28.3C - I have to remember my audience and convert my measurements. 5 gal batches here but American or 18.3L or 4.16 Imperial gallons.
