tempting fate

Post by graemet » Sat Mar 17, 2012 8:07 pm

I had a quick brew day today. Since the carpet in here is coming up in a couple of weeks, i'm tempting fate and not bothering with putting my FV in something.
I've knocked up a batch of coopers stout which i expect to make a mess, and a couple of demijohns with different attempts at turbo cider for SWMBO.
it's the last chance I'll get at brewing before I move house in April i think. Good news is, i get a brew room in the new place :)

I'm sure the SWMBO will still be pissed at you when the stout spews.

nah, i'm safe in that regard. this is my place, we're moving in together. she didnt complain about the oil on the hall carpet from tinkering with a scooter, so a little stout on the carpet won't matter much ;)
i just hope the same rules apply in my "mancave" when i move.

well, she already loves steak in ale, and prefers it with homebrew over shop bought ale, so that's a bonus. I will definitely be doing more cooking with beer or cider when i move. the things i rarely use are already boxed, and i'm not unpacking to repack. not quite at takeaway and ready meals stage yet but getting to that point if i dont stop packing things. i had to brew today so i had an excuse to not pack the brewing stuff :D

no sign of life from either cider yet though.

I have a Grand Cru 9l in a 25l fermenter that I started yesterday. The krausen is already up to the 15l mark :D
