hambleton bard lager question

Post by trex » Tue Jul 03, 2007 10:23 pm

had this in my only corni for three weeks. Tried it today just to see how it was going and was a bit disappointed with what i found. it just seemed to be lacking flavour - a bit watery even. will this get better the long i leave it or is it just the fact it was a dry kit and i should have used less water to make the kit up initially?
if so are there any rescue measures available?

drinking - muntons english ale, john bull masterclass stout
conditionng - hambleton bard lager supreme
fermenting - hop & grape 80/ - 80% lme 20% dme

Used all brewing sugar(only because it was a dry kit).
Are lagers difficult to get right or is it best to avoid the dry kit beer option?
