Kit recommendations

Post by Phill » Wed Jul 04, 2007 11:06 pm

I'm looking for a new kit to brew for the summer. I've done a Tom Caxton one and a Brupak fixby gold. Both where nice the Brupak one did create a fuller bodied beer, but the Caxton was still very tasty. I was in the brewshop the other day and they had really large John Bull kits i'd not seen before, going rather cheap. Has anyone tried one of these before? Also seen a Yorkshire Terrier kit, how does that compare to the stuff you get in pubs as I like that.

Any recommendations appreciated, as there is too much choice out there.

I quite liked the Linthwaite Light I did a while back. I think I'll start doing more ales as lagers are a bit of a chuff on.

Note to self - Buy another fermenter.

I like the Great Eastern as a summer ale so much I'm doing another almost immediately, but I did swap out the yeast.
