How Long?

I have my lager (<< spelt corectly again lol) in my primed Barrel its been there for 4 days I was a bit bored before so i thought i would draw a little out

it came out the barrel nice and fast but didnt have much of a head I then had a sip (well sips) it tasted quite nice im quite surprised with myself

how long do you guys leave it to clear in your barrels? and do i need to do anything to make it grow a head??

The rule of thumb is to mature a beer for 1 week per 10 points of gravity so a 1040 beer should be matured for 4 weeks. Most people have found out at some point that there beer tastes fine much sooner but by the time they get to the las pint it tastes great and they wish they had let the whole batch mature that long

I dont have that problem as i ate the dog last week when i spent my food money on beer making supplies lol

Best thing to do, i got two barrels and ALOT of stuff on the brew. There's a thread in the tap room.
