Don't drink and brew!

It took me five hours yesterday to make a simple kit brew due to the fact that I had been drinking elderflower wine all day. Managed to get the airlock on by 12:30 am.

No action at all on the fermentor today and the water has levelled off to the middle, I guess I killed all my yeast too.

I probably won't take my own advice though, and will still be drinking when I put my next brew on.
