just been browsing the h&g, as you do...

and saw these super yeast. now it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out their end result is less than great.

has anyone ever used some? the 24 hour claims blows my mind! no way!

Don't do it!

This stuff still brings back scary memories! Back when I was at school/uni we used to make concoctions using this stuff, generally the recipie was something like:

Fill demijon with Ribena
Add sugar
Add turbo yeast
put airlock on
wait for a bit until the bubbles stop
get horrendously drunk
vomit for 24 hours

It was cheap I will grant it that, but when I heard the term Turbo Cider on here I almost ran a mile :shock:

Really was very, very, very nasty stuff

And we were drinking 99p Sherry from Iceland as a posh brew at the time too :lol:

dont worry I had no intention to use the stuff!!! just wonderd how bad the results were!
