(Frankly? I feel which ever answer ye give, I'm going to find it somewhat disturbing!)
Ditch,
The vase was bought empty. Dead bulbs go in there as well, marked up as `Dead`, I can then pick out the `Live` ones as I need them! :D =D>
Buying the Bulbs was a different matter altogether! MrsAles wanted 50 Daffodil bulbs to put in pots in the Kitchen. I went to the local DIY / garden centre with
all good intentions. I just stood there thinking `Why am I here?`. Total Memory Block. Ahhhh, I remember, Bulbs! So now you know where the 50 bulbs come from! #-o #-o
Don`t tell anyone!
Whenever I stand still in a shop looking vacant (as male shoppers do), MrsAles says `Are you thinking about bulbs again!`. I will never live it down! #-o #-o

Did you find that somewhat disturbing?

Sorry for the stupid questions but:

1. Why do the dead bulbs go back in?

2. Isn't it a right pain in the arse to sift through all your dead bulbs to find a live one when one goes?

3. Are you sure that this wasn't a secret attempt to stock up on filament lightbulbs after reports that they would be banned in favour of energy saving ones?

4. How do you light one of the bulbs within the case?

5. Did Mrs Ales get her daffodils?

EB!
1 Dead bulbs still let light through off the one `Live` bulb in ths vase.
2 No pain at all! It is rather therapeutic actually as I contemplate how I got into this bulb thing!
3 No secret attempt.
4 With Electricity! It`s been around for some time actually! :D
5 MrsAles` Daffs are in the garden, the ones I bought were too tall for the kitchen window! Like a Bloody Jungle! :D I didn`t know MrsAles
wanted little ones! :D #-o

4. Ho! Ho! Ho! Let me try again. How do you get electricity into a bulb in a vase (as opposed to a bulb in a light fitting, which is where they are more traditionally installed)?

Good Point!
This is a pic of the vase with bulbs.....

This is a pic of the ingenious thing that dangles in the middle of the bulbs, thus giving light to all the other bulbs, dead or alive! :D

Notice the `Cream Bread Bin` next to the vase, never been used, only cost £43, because it `Would look nice`! Bloody Women! #-o #-o

All this talk of bulbs.

Back to Cock talk.

Fk I'm going to be slaughtered for trying to describe an ale.

Nice floral/fruit smell. It fooled me and was surprised by the tang/bitterness which I liked.

Tadaah!

There use to be a fella who lived in the farm behind me. He brewed with bits of bark, twigs, wild herbs and anything else he could pull out of a hedge row. He was interviewed for a brew mag years ago but got a mate of mine to impersonate him as was too shy to do the interview himself.

Edit. He posed in the photo's in place of the reclusive brewer not gave the interview.
