can i order the co2 bulbs (8gm), or do i need the s30 cylinders.
can i use this one CO2 Injector System & Sparklets?
my barrel is just a standard barrel with a plastic cap and tap, however the cap does not have anything to enable me to put co2 into the barrel when the pressure starts to run out.
Also, what ever one of the above i buy how do i use the products, and how much co2 do i inject, ive never put any co2 into my barrel before, once the pressure has stated to run out i just usually open the cap slightly to get the beer to flow. But as you will know it is usually flat by this point.
thanks folks.
help needed with ordering items (sorry wrong place)

The better option is the s30canister but the postage is pricey.I believe the injection valve on the lids are the same for the sparklet type bulbs and the s30 canister.
If you have a HB shop near you its worth getting the s30 as it last longer and gives you more fine tuning of co2 levels than dupming in a whole bulb!
When I keg I will inject some co2 and leave for 10 mins and then vent off the pressure which will remove most of the o2 and then inject enough co2 until the relief valve blows, then leave it in the garage until ready to drink!

Hi m8 they are 2 different fitting for the bulbs and the s30, i know i have both i tried putting the bulbs in the s30 lid and wondered why nothing was coming out
.
This the the bulb type

you can see the bit in the middle to pierce the bulb
This is for the s30 , the cannister has the valve in the middle so the lid fitting does not need it

ive also bought some bulbs. When i pput my beer into the barrel when do i inject co2, do i inject once i put my 40 pints into my 4 gallon barrel or at a later stage. Also how much do i put in, do i have to put one bulb in at a time, i suppose once you pierce the bulb you cannot stop the co2 coming out until the bulb has emptied itself.
Personally i find that after priming the beer is more than lively enough to get well over half way down the keg without any added pressure. I'd add the CO2 when u cant get ht ebeer to flow due to lack of pressure.
I use the little bulbs too and so far i've had not too much trouble with injecting the whole bulb, rather than the only other option of letting some vent by unscrewing.
I think the big bottle is the way to go eventually.
