Bulldog Lager Kit

Post by surfer69 » Tue Jan 26, 2016 11:46 am

I picked up a few (unbadged) and dated (11/15) Bulldog lager kits online (4.5%).
Brewed the first as per instructions, and it's come out OK.
I've 2 more on the go @19 deg and fancied dry hopping.
I have 100g of Chinook & 100g of Cascade pellets waiting and wondered of anybody had done anything similar.
Not sure what amounts to use & for how long, as they're hops I not tried before.

I've also a couple more which i won't start until Feb, should I dump the yeast and use something different ?

Cheers in advance

I've done a few of these with 1kg BKE. Made to 21L and fermented for 2 weeks then siphoned off and dry hopped for a week with 20g cascade and it comes out great!

I found centennial too bitter for dryhopping a light (5%) beer, mabe added too much tho ;-)

Cheers Donald. Thanks for the advice. Although, I think we may be talking about different Lagers.

This is the one I got, so no additions needed. the only thing I can imagine it being is the Bulldog Cortez Gold Mexican Cerveza which matches the weight.
It just comes with a pouch & a sachet of yeast.

I'm not a great fan of lagers and was hoping to Hop the hell out of one of these. I may try 20gms first.
How long did you dry hop for ?
