Coopers Stout -> Oat Stout

Hi All,

I have a coopers stout kit, dme & crystal malt. I was thinking of roasting some oats (1lb), steeping for an half an hour with maybe 250 grams of crystal malt. Then draining into another pot adding 1kg of dme boiling with fuggles for 30 mins and adding to coopers stout kit.

Does anyone see any possible problems with this? Could it work out nice or is it just crazy talk?
