Hey Doddy, I did this kit back in summer and it was cloudy for a good while, I seem to remember it cleared up totally and hit it's peak around the six weeks mark if that's any help. Oh yeah and bitterness will fade in time

Just noting this as this is my next kit. It's sitting patiently in the cupboard for a week or two whilst the Sherwood best ferments out.

The 6 week conditioning time is key. It was the same with the wherry, the difference between a few sneeky sips at kegging time (alarming) and the same after 6 weeks( :pink: ) was striking.

Patience young man!

I'm also going to do the Great Eastern next (hopefully some time this weekend) and will barrell and leave it for Chrimbo.
Probably will add some extra spray malt and dry hop it too.
Will let you know how it goes.

I dry hopped mine with East Kent Goldings that gave it a pleasant floral aroma. I reckon that Bramling Cross or Styrian Goldings would work well too.

I'm thinking of using Tettnang or Pioneer or a combination of the two.

Pioneer

Tettnang

doddy, it'll probably clear with a little more time. My Nelson's Revenge seemed to take ages to clear, thought it was never going to get there but after 4 weeks it has finally sorted itself out and is looking very good.

Have you got it sitting somewhere cool like the shed or garage?

Me too for additional East Kent Goldings, but I think a "tea" rather than dry hopping ie steeping for 20 mins. More of a flavour boost and some aroma as I understand it. Might do a bit of both tho'
