Today I was doing a Mangrove Jack kit, which is in a plastic pouch, using additional malt extract - also in a pouch. It occurred to me that I could tip quite a bit of boiling water into the top of the pouch to soften the concentrate. I left it for a few minutes and then gave it a stir, and with minimal effort it just poured into the bucket. Much easier than tipping the contents of the pouch straight into the bucket. Now, I'm sure many of you are thinking "what an idiot, I always do it that way". But, until now I hadn't thought of it.
Please share your obvious or not so obvious practical tips.

Or just sit the pouch in a saucepan full of really hot water. Means you're not diluting the pouch down.

Wouldn`t the hot water in the pouch count as water for the brew and not diluting it down?
