How Many carbonisation drops in 500ml bottles
How Many carbonisation drops in 500ml bottles
I am about to bottle MYO Irish stout in 500ml bottles. Instructions say one heaped teaspoon per bottle. I have carbonisation drops, should I use one or two per bottle?

Depends on the recipe, style and your taste?
Do you want fizzy beer (use 2) or a more ale like (use 1) finish?
Tbh. I hated the things, Tate and lyle caster sugar is my preference.

Two grammes of sugar per litre. That's one gramme per bottle

I've had some success with Bulk priming as I often have a mix of bottle sizes and want to aim for even carbonation. I also use one of the priming calculators and carbonation tables to help with volumes. There's a decent example on the Brewers Friend website
