Spare pump for bulldog brewer
Anyone know where you can buy a spare 12v solar pump for the bulldog brewer I've broken mine...

If it uses standard sized 1/2" hose (I suspect that it does), then I can heartily recommend the Brew Builder TS-5 mini mag pump (once back in stock). It'll even cope with any grain that gets into it. Probably a bit better than the pump that came with even.

Hamblton Bard supply them, try taking it apart and cleaning it up first. That worked for me.

Re: Spare pump for bulldog brewer
I keep having similar problems with my Bulldog pump, regularly have to dismantle and clean it, flushing it through with clean hot water after brewing is not enough. I shall try the cooking oil lube next time I dismantle. There are a lot of 12v solar type pumps on e-bay very cheap but I suspect that they would be no better. I shall look into the BB TS-5, cheers.

This link is virtually the same pump, If not actually the same, https://www.banggood.com/DC-12V-Solar-H ... rehouse=CN but if it is the same then it will be no better. Make sure that any replacement can handle hot liquids.

I’ve used a pump like this for around two years - cheap and cheerful. I use it to recirculate the mash.Jayjaydubya wrote: ↑Mon Jun 04, 2018 9:14 pmThis link is virtually the same pump, If not actually the same, https://www.banggood.com/DC-12V-Solar-H ... rehouse=CN but if it is the same then it will be no better. I just flush it through with PBW, then hot water.
