BM20 Table/Stand Suggestions
BM20 Table/Stand Suggestions
I have just gutted my garage out and finally got things onto racks including my dedicated beer/wine ones. I previously used a stainless steel table to house my BM20 however the reorganisation has meant that I have had to change the layout.
As I need to keep it near the double doors when brewing I was looking for any suggestions people may have with their set up? Ideally I am looking for a table which can handle the weight of the BM when full but able to store easily which points to a folding one. Also at a decent height. If anyone has a good suggestion or experience of their set up for a similar size pot/weight it would be much appreciated.

Not to worry, I have found this one, will also come in handy with my portable pizza oven

They are excellent tables for BBQ's etc but I don't know how they would cope with any amount of direct heat.
A 60x60 cm stainless catering table will dissemble really easily, although you would need another surface for bits and pieces.

I use an aluminium “step up”. Very strong, folds away for storage and handy for other uses such as decorating. You can buy a 600mm long one for about twenty quid from somewhere like Screwfix.

It is HDPE so should be fine, it wont be in direct contact in any case as the BM is elevated by a good few inches. The pizza oven too is Roccbox which is elevated and insulated which keeps the table etc it is on cool underneath.
Re: BM20 Table/Stand Suggestions
The feet of the Braumeister don't get particularly hot so it is probably not an issue as long as you don't spew hot wort on to the table. Weight has to be the key thing because a full Braumeister is heavy. I can see why 50L Braumeister owners need winches and pulleys!

I needed something substantial to take the weight/dimensions of my 50 Litre Braumeister
I bought one of these Youngman 600 step up platform Wickes £59.
Nice equal dimensions compared to the other smaller width ones.
Folds up + nice height and swl up to 150Kg takes my 50 Litre Braumeister ok

The Aldi version of the step up is also perfect for the job. About £15, but only seasonal availability.

Mine is from Homebase and has extendable legs as well.
Legs are locked in to place, and can hold a lot of weight
