BM/GF Hybrid

Post by Nashbrew » Wed Apr 21, 2021 10:18 am

Has anyone out there with a BM dumped the Speidel controller and bolted on a Grainfather controller?
This looks like a good option for failed BM controllers. A BM one is £400 GF is £100 a no brainer if the idea works.

Nash, you know I have been banging on about this for a while. But have never seen any takers.

Happy to give you a hand with conversion.

I would be interested in this when the condensation finally kills my Brau- mister.

I will definitely go for it when my steamed up controller dies.
I did think Grain-Meister or the Brau-Father as names

It won’t be difficult, BM is a PT1000 so you may need to source a probe to fit or at least change the element inside.

Other then that you have a pump (not sure of the voltage) and the heating element.
