My BM has arrived... you can afford one too!!
Re: My BM has arrived... you can afford one too!!
Cant speak for anyone else, But what I do is.
I weighed and measured a jug of water to 1L.
Filled the Bm watching the notches and thy are bang on. Will just use the notches from now on.
I put my recipe in to Beer engine, then adjust beer engine to the brew length I want to make.
As long as its within the upper and lower limits of the Bm.
I have the lower limit, will get to the upper limit one day, but for now I just enjoy making smaller batches.
I have a Galaxy Pale ale planed for tomorrow.

I'm on a steep learning curve having gone from extract to 3V All Grain to Braumeister in under 4 months; however the results are highly drinkable! Brewing Software: lots of options; I have bought Beer Smith 2 on my iPad but not yet bought on my Mac but then saw mention of "Beer Engine" - what's that?
Whats the best / easiest to brewing software to use paired with a Braumeister?

Just been online priced it from the shop in your link and also from homebrew.uk and there's only just over £100 pound difference not the difference in your post
Re: My BM has arrived... you can afford one too!!
50 litre braumeister , wort chiller, hop plate, cleaning 2393 euro that's £1708 pounds homebrew uk sell the same for £1883 that's only 175 pound diff and on the 20 litre it's just over £100 I know it's a saving but is it worth it for the service you would get from a shop in the uk should something go wrong

As Niels no longer ships the 50Litre to the UK it doesn't really matter.
Saying that I did buy my 20L BM from BrewUK for exactly that reason. I know Niels is a very good bloke but I buy from the UK when I can.

I've noticed that BrewUK brought their prices of the Braumeister down a bit, so I think it makes sense you shop with them. Shipping the Braumeisters is always risky as they are prone to transport damage (a lot depends on the courier service, of course). Buying "locally" will result in a bit less hassle if that should happen, I suppose.

I believe mine was the last BM 50L shipped to the UK, and 'dropped' in transit. Absolute brilliant customer service from Homebrewshop.be & Niels who refunded before they had even collected! I believe the issue with the BM 50L shipping is that he box is as big as it can get before needing a pallet so Spiedel have had to reduce the normal packing top and bottom of the BM.niels wrote:I've noticed that BrewUK brought their prices of the Braumeister down a bit, so I think it makes sense you shop with them. I bought my replacement BM 50L from BrewUK and it arrived next day, delivered my ParcelForce and without damage.

It's just a shame that Neil's isn't in the uk he could give all the local hbs a bit of competition make them drop their prices.
Re: My BM has arrived... you can afford one too!!
I think he already does. Why do you think BrewUK dropped their prices?
Re: My BM has arrived... you can afford one too!!
Dam you Brexit I would love to pick a BM up for that price
