So got this delivered today

I've put it through a cleaning cycle ready for a brew on Monday, how do people go about getting the dregs of water out of the bottom without having to try and tip the whole thing upside down

That's how I do it. Can't imagine how else you would. I s'pose you could stand it on a chair and siphon. But it's not heavy when (almost) empty. I find tipping it up into the sink not a problem, and that's the way you'll have to do it to get rid of the trub and hops after the boil.

Yeah I do the same as Dave and just tip down the sink, one thing that I find helps making clearing up after brewing is after emptying all the hops and debris out of the GF and rinsing out the worst of whats left with a hose pipe is to fill it up with a few litres of water to pump through and rinse out the CF chiller until clean clear water is coming out. Its amazing what comes out and it saves a load of wort and debris going back into the boiler when pumping through PBW in the cleaning cycle.

PS I am surprised your GF hasn't come with the new controller ?.

IT should have but for some reason that's arriving tomorrow, think maltmiller only got stock in today despite it being in stock on there website

Yes, the change in tone lets you know when it's done pumping. It won't harm the pump though if left in that state for a while as it is a magnetically coupled pump motor.
