does anyone have a dialled in profile on beersmith for the bulldog brewer?
i am guessing the other one pot varieties are pretty similar.
the instructions say add 20l of liquor for mash, sparge with 8l. i'd say they must be aiming for a brew length of 19 litres but i normally brew the normal 23 litres.

It seems a bit simplistic, having a single volume for all brews, irrespective of gravity. Personally I'd build my own water calculations.

I havnt used it yet but will be doing my usual GW beer engine then just reverse the water i.e. Sparge amount in the pot, mash amount to sparge. I do 19l brews for my cornys.

Hi Spanspoon,
I also have a Bulldog Brewer and have been trying to dial in my numbers to create an accurate equipment profile in Beersmith.
I have been using the same profile that you have posted but I have set the efficiency to 75% as I have noticed my efficiency had been ranging between 70 and 80% dependent on the recipe.
The last brew I made I hit my numbers spot on using that profile at 75% efficiency.
Browsing online I came across another brewing system which looks pretty much identical to the Bulldog Brewer called a Coobra CB25. If you visit their website, which is in Swedish, they provide downloads for Beersmith Equipment and Mash profiles for their unit including different profiles for using the both the 1800w or the 2500w setting.

Re: beersmith profile for bulldog brewer
much appreciated...getting a brew on tomorrow so will see how it goes
Re: beersmith profile for bulldog brewer
No worries, not tried the Coobra equipment profile yet as I only found them this morning but they look fairly similar to the other profile that I have been using (and you have included above) with the exception of the figures for mash tun weight and boil off rates.
I'd be interested to hear how you get on with it.
