The Malt Miller informed me that they will be stocking the keg king counterflow chiller later this year.

I have a plate chiller but am considering a counterflow
I'll definately be having a look at that then... Any idea on pricing from Rob?
No, didn’t get a price but they are selling in the US for 70 dollars.

I've just stumbled across this video in the bin of my cloud drive... I thought it, along with all my other videos that I lost when I mistakenly deleted my channel (Blundering Brewer) was long gone, so for nostalgia sake and because what happened in this video (disaster) ultimately led to me getting hold of the Bulldog Master Brewer due to the issue with the handle, I thought I'd upload again for your viewing pleasure!!

Wasn't sure whether to share this knowledge due to the possibility/certainty that it's going to be a topic for debate by those who know these single vessel brewing machines but I've just been informed that the provisional recommended retail price of the new Bulldog Master Brewer is going to be £650!! 😮

Now I don't think this is what they'll be available for the RRP at the larger online retailers when they become available in February and I still stand by my view that it's in the £499 to £549 range but £650 RRP when a Grainfather is £675 is a gamble by Hambleton Bard!

If you wanted to have a look at the new system in action take a look at this video from my channel... There are a few others if you want a browse! 😉

The Bulldog Master Brewer All in One System

Don’t see them selling too many at that price, the Gf is well established and a quality bit of kit with a cf chiller, and new Bluetooth controller.

The ace micro brewer etc is the price point bulldog should be aiming at as these are its main competition. The GF is at a different level.

My second brew with the new system... Had couple of slight issues with the bazooka filter blocking and reducing the flow of fluid to the pump and also the plastic waterproof cover on the pump switch being quite stiff! You run the chance of turning off the controller power and losing all your step settings if you aren't careful!

Cheers for watching...

Hi,

Can you dial in any power rating you want? I.e the same as the previous bulldog brewer. That feature gives good control over the whole process.

Thanks.

You can but it's average power whatever that means... If you want to mash on step one at 1000w it'll heat from cold at 1000w it's not good so I just use 2200 all the way through I could use lower on mash out etc but at 1600w it starts using full power anyway lol

That's interesting, that poses another question. On the previous model which I have you can basically do what you want I.e any temp setting or any power setting, and it has a 60 minute timer which never bothered me because when it cut out I just dialed in my original setting and carried on.

So on the new model can you do that with the controller I.e just dial in your own settings rather than steps?

Cheers.

Does anyone have a reliable Beersmith profile for the Master Brewer?

I used the robobrew profile. But didn’t have time to do any tweaking due to constantly battling a stuck mash and blocked pump.

I've gone with a Coobra one. Did a dry run this morning with water, seems to be accurate.
