Got a quick query and not at home right now to physically check my GF30.
Is a preboil volume of 30l going to be a problem for the GF?
Yep I know its called a GF30 for good reasons but I've only done one brew so far for a 23l batch and it was a good vigorous boil for the 23l batch - don't want things to be close to boiling over for a slightly bigger batch....
If I was at home I could check. I know its a simple question with prob an obvious answer but I reckon there's plenty of you who have the immediate experience .

30l pre-boil volume in GF30.
Re: 30l pre-boil volume in GF30.
I often have around 30 litres pre-boil in mine. Just be ready to spray or pat down the hot break or use a little anti-foam.

Re: 30l pre-boil volume in GF30.
I have always done 25 litre brews in my GF which needs 30 litres pre boil , which it handles with no problems or issues .
I buy my grain & hops from here http://www.homebrewkent.co.uk/

Re: 30l pre-boil volume in GF30.
Had 30 litres yesterday as above, no problem just watched carefully as it came to the boil; especially as I had 60gm of (leaf) first wort hops already added, that made a potential boil over slightly more likely as they form a floating raft at that point
