Speidel just confirmed for 2021 model.
I am going to modify the clamp so it fits my 2015.
Could have returned but that would have been more hassle .

Yeah I know that feeling.

Is it a big difference?
Does the lid fit?

Hi Mashbag
The internal diameter is the same. The diameter of the lip on a 2015 is bigger than a 2021.
I will modify the clamp to get the diameter I need.

Will make an ideal clamp for my still conversion as well.

The Braumeister site is not clear al all to its fitment of older models.
There response was fairly dismissive as well.(they are going to get a tonking in the football next week :=P )

Gotcha.
I did wonder if it would be easy to make one of these with spring clips on the lid, that over centre on the lip. (think octopus legs)

Laser cut stainless is cheap as chips.

Received the lid yesterday..
Did you modify it to fit?

I ask, cos my findings are very pleasing. Just sampled the beer and it is spot on!
Wondered if you had a brew underway?

The process is so much easier. The cleaning is easier.... And get this.. After secondary fermentation the beer cleared REALLY quickly and really well.

I will certainly be doing a few more recipes this way. I think I now have the most idle "brewday" going.

Hi Mash
Just back fro m a few weeks away.
Is there anyone out there with a BM20 plus model I need the dimension of the top lip.
So I can easily modify the clamp.
Good to here about your results.Look forward to trying this method out.

I am really getting into this. Did you notice if the cleaning was easier and the brew seems cleareer?

BTW ..my brew (@25l) brew is nowhere near the top - why the blowoff?

Cleaning was no bother after my last brew & ferment.

Just drinking now and is clear as anything.🍻
I have always used an airlock or blow off. I know some brewerys ferment in open air.
Never really thought about it really , do you just leave the lid on yours?

Yes. I have put two bits a red insulation tape over the vents on the standard lid. That's it.

I wondered if you had foam blowing through the airlock and was intregued why?

No Foam just keeping the oxygen out.

Errm, that's fine, but the oxygen/co2 relationship doesn't really work like that.
