Another lid?

Post by MashBag » Thu Oct 13, 2022 7:31 am

I need another lid, for my BM20.
This will be number 3 😂
Internal diameter 35cm external 38cm.

Don't really fancy throwing money at Speidel, but it probably does need to be stainless.

Any ideas any one?

Hi Mash

I bought some lids from Aliexpress I may even have one in my shed.
Will take a look and drop you a line later.
They are not as thick as the original but will more than do the trick.
I used one for my still conversion.
If I don't have one here is a link comes in lots of sizes 38cm included

Or a domed one even https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004619890240.html
Falling apart together nicley🍻

What was wrong with the lids. ?

Nash,

That would be great news.

IPA,
Nothing at all.
First is my standard & fermentation lid.
Second one is my boiling lid, which prevents boilovers.
This one (third) will be for my cooling device. To mount a coil on.

Nothing wrong

Completely off topic but I noticed that your post is timed at 1204 am. On the twenty four hour clock system you can have 1204 pm or 0004 am but not 1204 am. I have noticed this on other forums.

Maybe I'll set the time format to "B" and see how I get on with that.

Nooo. Biel Mean Time is a futile exercise imo. I don't quite know why coders got so excited about it at the time.
