Post by avtovaz » Thu Mar 27, 2014 9:09 pm

I had stopped drinking, but decided to limit intake to just the weekends now, and its so far going ok.

I havnt been home brewing, but i think ill do a new brew as its costing toooo much to keep drinking the way i am.

so what red maybe beaverdale kit is like blossom hill italian red?

Im after something dark red, and nice. Id pay more for a better kit if someone could recomend please?

thanks

I don't know about the beaverdale merlot, but I did brew a gallon of their cabaret sauv a couple if years ago and it was a beaut. It's still the only wine kit i've brewed, and I'll definitely be getting a 5 gallon kit on one day.

The Beaverdale Rioja is a nice one but it needs to condition in the bottles the longer the better

They do 6 bottle trial kits (you end up with 5) I did a white last year my wife started drinking it with a couple of days of bottling. It got better as it aged all gone within a month tho. The red I brewed this year needed a month at least to condition as I tasted some whilst bottling and it's flavouring was everywhere needed time to calm down.

The ken ridge classics I've been informed are good too but I've never tried um

ive had one kenridge kit before, it was a white one, gvertstraminer...

it was amazing after 6 months

atm, from drinking every night, i have managed to calm it down a lot, and weekend drinkign now is where im at, but id like to stop all together. That is itself is about life meaning and all that..

i spent £20 on 3 bottles of wine in tescos tonight..

2x and a but more and id have 30!

in my did of stopping drinking, i need to cut down, and spend less so i can get my priorities right...

RALLY CARS!

ahem

thanks ; ill be ordering ;)
