Hello all.My neighbour has asked me is there anything she can add to her wine for a dry effect.
I aint gotta clue so i could`nt help her and was wondering if anyone out there could.
Thanks in advance for any advice anyone may have.

Did your neighbour manage to find something to dry out her wine?
When starting a recipe, don't overdo the sugar so all of it ferments out leaving a drier wine. You can also add tannin (either in powder form or brew up 3 or 4 teabags in a mug of hot water but don't stew them)
If the wine is finished and sweet you can blend the sweet wine with something a lot drier to try to dry it out.
I wonder if adding Gypsum would work? Might be worth trying it in a small glass first before adding to the bulk.
I once made a carrot wine that finished sweet so, in my infinite wisdom, decided I'd use it as a mixer with vodka. It tasted lovely, but things did get very messy......!
