hi all had a bulldog mixed fruit cider in fv 7 days the smell has gone from fruity to sulpher i remember this happening with ag lager not sure with cider is this ok cheers lee ![Think :-k](./images/smilies/eusa_think.gif)

Not sure about cider either, but I would just leave it alone and see how it turns out, as sulphur is a fairly normal smell associated with fermentations.

lee1, this is fine mate.
Just bottled mine up Saturday, had exactly the same thing happen to me.
7 days in FV and it went from fruity to sulphur. Left it in there for three weeks (as i do with all kits) and when i came to bottle the smell had disappeared and tasted shockingly good!, although the colour wasn't as dark as id hoped for.
Leaving for two weeks inside then two out till me and the missus crack one open.
(Just got another one going on monday, brewed it short and if the yeast gets down to the one i just bottled should come out at 6.04%

Rumour has it the sulphur smell is due to stressed yeast - not enough nutrient, or hotter than it really likes.
It goes away with time, and at the end of the ferment the yeast will tidy much of it up itself, given the chance.
