Bitter & twisted

Post by DRB » Sun Aug 26, 2007 7:05 pm

Right tomorrow I want do do a clone of bitter & twisted.I have bought a bottle and this is what is said on the back.Has a superb hop profile combining hallertaur with spicy challenger finished by late hopping of styrian goldings, giving a sharpness like the twist of a lemon.Says it contains barley, oats and wheat.

I have available to me
optic, crystal, wheat malt, toriffied wheat and all the hops as of above.
Oats what do they mean by that will i be able to get them from the supermarket?

So who wants to devise a clone that will be brewed tomorrow as I would'nt know where to begin,i'll be the guinea pig :D .

Cheers matt,I forgot about the search.

I,m going to do this one
3000g Lager malt
300g Wheat malt
150g Xtal
250g Malted oats
2000g Pale malt.

Challenger 22g @ 75mins
Hallertauer Hersbrucker 54g @75mins
Styrian Golding 39g @10mins
Hallertauer Hersbrucker 22g @2mins
Styrian Golding 64g @2mins
32 litre boil.
I got this recipe from a former CBA member who brews it regulary he sometimes add's 250g of acid malt to the mash

Is there anything I can use instead of malted oats?porridge oats or flaked barley .
