Phoenix Black Bee Recipe Needed???

Post by andyryan218 » Thu Apr 17, 2008 11:03 am

During the recent Wetherspoons Beer Fest I tasted (several pints of) Phoenix Black Bee Honey Porter.
Has anybody got a recipe or any ideas for this one??

I had a pint of that in 'Spoons Durham on Tuesday night, could actually taste the honey sweetness

Maybe a 1045-50 porter recipe with load of honey in the boil at 15 mins?

Obliv, that would probably be better then the flavour won't get boiled away. I've never done a honey ale but I do know it's notoriously difficult to give up it's flavour.

I got some good advice on THIS THREAD for using honey.

Turned out really nice.

Re-reading it has made me want to brew it again 8)
