Good point - until recently, I did a flameout hop addition by default. It wasn't until another highly regarded brewer here in Australia suggested that I will lose less aroma properties if I dry hop late in primary or in secondary when there's a much lower level of CO2 leaving the beer - presumably taking some of the hop aroma with it...DaaB wrote:...As for the economics, being parsimonious in nature (his description) i'd imagine that David would be taking into consideration the cost effectiveness vs the results obtained.
