I've no idea, but I'm really pleased with how this has turned out so I'd recommend trying them.

Phil,
What type of yeast did you use?

SA-04.

I use it for almost all my beers. Infact everything except Hefeweizens.

looks good chief, might give this one a go some time.

i always use muntons gold yeast for my brews, but i'm begining to think theres something else out there to try. i've experimented with a few Wyeasts in my time, but variety is the spice of life eh?

Hi Guys,

after a couple more weeks of maturation I've seen diacytal come and go whilst in the corny and this beer is just fabulous. I think I've found my house beer! If you are looking for a quaffing beer with a malty tast give this a go. Mash at 68C.

I'm drinking this beer now and I reckon as ales go this is one of the best I've made :) .

Who is this diactyl? And wasnt it uncomfortable in the corny? :?

Will give this brew a go once I get some progress hops - recently bought a selection of hops that I thought would see me through plenty of brews but didnt include progress

I'd never tried Progress before but, while I can't attribute the success of this brew to the progress hops, this is a very nice brew. Maybe it's the flaked barley.

edited to correct the drunken ramblings of a piss head with too much beer in him

I think Phil is saying, he was in the corni while watching this diacytl chap coming and going. Its never occured to me before but using a corni as a hiding place is a stroke of genius
