I was over for the weekend and happen to pop into the Rowfant House in Turners Hill,West Sussex and they had this as the guest ale, very good indeed, anyone have a recipe, it was lovely reddish colour.

'MadBob' is a gentleman called Bob Renvoise, who used to work there and has a long and very amusing brewing history (including doing AG in hotel rooms when on band tours I believe!)

Have a look at my site, there are some of his recipes on there.

It feels silly to ask a gentleman from Chicago since I could (with a little artistic license) lob a stone on Rowfant House from where I'm sitting but what is that place? Is it a hotel, church, club?

Rowfant House is like a club house, you can become a member, but anyone can drink in there, I grew up in Crawley (Northgate, Maidenbower) and would attend a lot of weddings, birthdays, christenings, they provide a lounge with food, music if you want and being way out in the middle of nowhere there really is no complaints about noise from neighbours, it also had Horshams bitter,London Pride and another guest IPA (cant remember the name)
All in all its a great place to visit and drink in
Cheers
