Thanks for your thoughts guys, I really appreciate it. What I was thinking of doing was purchasing a small dorm sized frig, attaching a thermostat to keep it at 55F and setting up a beer engine pretty much as shown on the website. It seems to me that when drinking real ale which is open to the air, you are going to get oxidation over time and he simulates that by letting air displace the first couple of pints before going to the cask breather. Having never had the honor of trying it for myself (I will get over there some day, after my kids get through school) I don't know what it does to the taste but judging by how much you guys rave about it, I am sure it is sublime. I just want to make sure the whole deal makes sense before spending the considerable money required to get a set up going like that (and of course taking the beating my wife will give me once she figures out what I am up to).
Drinking:Saison (in bottles), Belgian Dubbel (in bottles), Oud Bruin (in bottles), Olde Ale (in bottles),
Abbey Triple (in bottles), Munich Helles, Best Bitter (TT Landlord clone), English IPA
Conditioning: Traditional bock bier, CAP
Fermenting: Munich Dunkel
Next up: Bitter (London Pride like), ESB
So many beers to make, so little time (and cold storage space)

I will track down the camera and post a pic or two this weekend. I just changed my system so it is more presentable now but it and my basement have a ways to go.
I am getting some fobbing and a massive head (no sparkler). It is a freshly tapped keg and is a little over lively. Although I wonder if I am getting a little air in the line at a push fitting . . .
Grot a fellow Jim's forumite sold me a homark engine after I was bemoaning the difficulties of getting one here in the states.
