Post by leigh1919 » Sat Sep 13, 2008 10:53 am

...I was happily drinking some Saltaire last night and noticed they've started listing thier ingredients on the side of the label - thought i'd post them here and you can do as you will!

Saltaire Goldings Ale -
Grain: Maris Otter Pale (80%), Crystal (3%), Vienna (7%), Torrified Wheat (10%)
Hops - First Gold (bittering), Golding (aroma) - - - -o.g 1042

Saltaire Fuggles Bitter -
Grain: Maris Otter Pale (90%), Crystal (8%), Dark Crystal (2%)
Hops: Goldings, Fuggles - - - - - - -o.g 1037.5

this is exactly how it reads on the bottles.

ps (Isnt Dark Crystal a Jim Henson Movie!?!?!?!)

There's a certain irony in brewing in Saltaire - it was a strict Temperance community when first built!

You're quite right, Mr Salt wouldn't allow a single pub in his new town........Timothy Taylor must have spat his back teeth out when he saw the plans!
