Dave Lines' Recipes

Post by SKING » Wed Sep 17, 2008 9:21 pm

I was just wondering what people do with Dave Lines recipes - I have been trying out lots of the ones from the site (mainly the ones by Norman I think) which have all turned out great, but the recipes in DL's books seem to include a lot of sugar (by modern standards) in most of them? With the exception of those clones where the originals include sugar I would be interested to hear what those more experienced members do in this respect - do you just up the grain bill and omit the sugar or follow his recipes as is?

Do a search, the sugar-free conversion of his recipes is talked about in a good number of threads. From my hazy memory, you need to up the grain bill by 20% and reduce the hops by about the same.
