The question has been asked on Jim's before and IIRC no one came up with a sure-fire answer. However, against the quantities of the other grains I don't see it making any difference.

Hmm, I'm not sure whether to up it to a noticeable amount or drop it completely...

1 gram is pointless imo

My almanac (4th Ed, 1995) does not list Riggwelter but shows both Black Sheep Best Bitter and Black Sheep Special Bitter as having 0.005% "roast malt extract" so I suspect this is where it came from.

Forget that gram. The choc malt will drown it in any case.

I know I am probably a bit late but you may want to look at this post

I adjusted the recipe as the one posted had some errors. The final brew was almost spot on in comparison to a shop bought bottle.

Cheers for that - it was too late, but due to having less chocolate than I thought I didnt quite follow the recipe anyway. It still seems way darker than the real thing though...

Read this comment from Stonechat in your brewday thread:
It's not the first time that 1g of Roast Barley has come up on Jim's and I reckon it won't be the last
Not wrong
