My 2nd recipie - views / opinions please

Hi,

Thanks to you lot I managed to brew and now just finished my first homebrew so now im here again with my 2nd. The first brew was very nice so haven't changed too much for my second attempt. Its basically the same but have lowered the amount of carapils and replaced with chocolate malt. Trying to impart a more developed flavour to my first brew.

4.00 kg Maris Otter
0.20 kg Carapils
0.20 kg Crystal
0.15 kg Chocolate Malt - pale
1.00 oz Challenger - 60mins
1.00 oz Fuggles - 10mins
0.50 oz Challenger - 5mins
1 Pkgs Wyeast Ale Blend (Wyeast Labs #1087)

Cheers Chris,

Silly question but what is the difference in flavour between the hops, stronger, longer lasting etc ?

A very basic description from beer smith:-

Challanger - fruity, spicy
Fuggles - grassy, floral

Would this mean the Fuggles would be a better summer addition ?

I know for a fact my last brew was VERY pungent, just a pint made the whole room smell of a brewery lol. Fingers crossed I get the same effect but better
