PORTER/LIQUORICE

Post by ferry george » Thu Feb 26, 2009 6:13 pm

Hello, i'm a bit new to this brewing lark, i've done two a.g. which turned out ok, this weekend i indent trying to brew a porter style beer but with liquorice root added. Just wondered if anyone had any tips on how much root to add and when, thanks for any advice.

I've used brewers licorice in Porter along with black strap molasses. Add a stick of the brewers licorice during the last 15 minutes of your boil.
