Hello, this is my first attemp at AG brewing: I made this to about 2.5 gallons:
2lb4oz pale malt
70z cornflakes
1.5 golding hops
.5 t.sp irish moss
yeast
90mins. mashing at 64c
75min boil
primed bottles with sugar
after a coule of weeks the ale was very clear, but a bit flat, but tasted ok.
Now after 6 weeks in bottles it's turned into a very refreshing Pale Ale, complete with a bit of fiz!
next time i will brew this with proper ingredients, but as my nearest brew shop is 20 miles away, i took the risk to use cornflakes. Cheers
FIRST PALE ALE
Re: FIRST PALE ALE
I'd replace the cornflakes with crunchy nut. Like cornflakes, only a lot nicer.

Yep, although I think Clusters are even better, but might end up with a bit of a protein haze with them . . .

Fermenting: nowt (sadly). Drinking: still a few bottles of my imperial stout knocking about . . . it's rather good now

You could always develop this recipe to produce a porter or stout by using some Coco Pops in the mash
Seriously - glad that your brew has turned out well and ignore the leg pulling on here. Welcome to the "dark side".
