Is this the Springhead Brewery "Surrender Ale"? I had one in a local pub whilst visiting the Trent arena in Nottingham for a concert. Nice enough pint but not on my to do list personally. Malty, nice body and depth for a 3.8% beer, but I could get no real hop aroma from it.

Yeah thats the one,

Its a nice beer though, and i thought that doctoring the hops slightly might give it something else.

So if anyone has an idea..

Would always suggest the brewery website to get some info but in this case it seems the message is "We're making some changes at Springhead's website. Please come back soon..." so no help there. The person I was asking about the two Springhead pints said "I don't know much about them you best ask Keith over there, I think he knows the beers". I never got to talk to Keith and as I was only interested in a nice light and hoppy summer pint I took pot luck on this one and proceeded to the garden with the wife to enjoy the last of the sun.

Thanks for that.

I wonder, is it against the rules to ring them and ask the question right out.

I like ( put in beer name)

wondered what malt you used

wondered what hops you used

i guess then someone with a bit of a decent brain and an idea as to how to use Beer engine properly would liky be able to get a rough idea as to a recipe?

Or is this a real no no.. ( sprry i am a newbie at trying to blag info from the pros.)
