Dear all,
In the Summer I had a couple of pints of Newman's Mt Snowdon which I am trying to recreate. Orangey summer ale with juicy, fruity almost sweet hops.
I phoned the brewery and they gave me the ingredients and I have put a recipe together using ProMash. It is the first time I have ever done something like this so would be grateful of your comments, especially on the hop profile.
3.2K Lager Malt
110g Crystal Malt
20g Target 90mins (substitued for Herkules which n one seems to have)
20g Styrian 90mins
20g Styrian 15mins
10g Bramling Cross at boiler off
10g First Gold at boiler off
Any comments?
Thanks.

Re: New recipe advice
The gravity will be fairly low (assuming 75% - gives 1032 or so). Also looks quite bitter for the gravity - I think you need more malt in there to bring it up to about 1040ish (to shoot for the 4% for the beer) so use 4.2kg. (Any reason for using lager malt here by the way?)
Otherwse, I've never had the original, but with the malt upped to give SG of 1040 or so., it looks like a tasty pint.

Sounds tasty, you'll be getting some Blackcurrant from those Bramlings
