Most of the reports I see say whirlfloc is a bit more effective than dried irish moss, possibly because of the way it's distributed in the kettle. Certainly whenever I've used it it's resulted in a clearer beer but I'm not experienced enough to attribute that purely to the whirlfloc.

I too think it's more effective than irish moss, but could that be because it's designed for 25(U.S.) gallons and not for 5?

I've started drinking this only 14 days after brewing but it's tasting good already.

Mine attenuated down to 1.010 from 1.065 which means I've got somewhere around 7% ABV

84% attenuation??
